Our Services
Translation
We provide translation services including the translation of websites, technical and legal texts, in over 110 language combinations.
Each project is assigned to a translator with the required expertise. For larger projects, we build up project-specific glossaries to ensure the consistent use of terminology. We employ translation memory technology to provide even greater consistency and substantial savings for our clients. This ensures all your translations receive the care and expertise they deserve. All source and translated texts are stored in our secure cloud, allowing for immediate retrieval.
Our skilled translators have a thorough knowledge of the source language and are native speakers of their target language, with in-depth knowledge of the specific topics they translate. We have a great deal of experience in managing large translation projects in many languages, using a strong network of translators with whom we enjoy long-term relationships, based on our mutual commitment to excellence.
Machine Translation
Post-Editing
Leveraging advances in neural machine translation, Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE) has become faster, cheaper, and more accurate. This helps combine the best of both worlds: the speed and ability of MT engines to quickly handle large volumes of text with the skill and sensitivity of trained linguists.
We work closely with forward-thinking organisations to integrate language AI in their processes. Our professional post-editors can effectively evaluate the project after machine translation and, depending on the type of content and the intended use, propose the appropriate editing level after processing.
In addition, our translators have been trained in this type of translation and can effectively provide the desired level of quality, while balancing it with the given budget. If you are considering the use of machine translation, we will be very happy to exchange ideas on the subject and share our knowledge and know-how.
DTP – Formatting
We believe that document presentation is a crucial part of a successful translation. At Rhyme & Reason, as much thought goes into how content is presented as into the content itself. We format your documents to match your original presentation, thus preserving your carefully designed layout in the translation.
Our DTP (desktop publishing) team is experienced in handling multilingual documents of any size and complexity, taking care of problems with character sets, hyphenation rules and other issues requiring special knowledge and handling.
We also undertake DTP tasks as a stand-alone service. Make sure your text is market-ready using our DTP services, to adapt your digital files for multiple languages.
Editing and proofreading
Using our editing services, you can be sure that your manuscript will be polished and ready for submission. We correct grammar, delete redundancies, fix problem sentences, and fine-tune vocabulary. We also replace inappropriate words and eliminate obvious spelling errors. Furthermore, we have a proven track record with years of experience working with various writing styles and proofreading material – from web copy and market research to legal texts and scientific papers.
Select only translation or translation and editing
We understand that, in some cases, a delicate balance is required between clearly delivering your message and keeping costs down. To make sure you don’t pay more than you need to, we offer two separate services: translation only or translation and editing; and we make sure that even unedited translations are checked according to our quality assurance system.
Localisation
Interpreting
Whether you need simultaneous conference interpretation or consecutive interpretation for your business meetings, we can provide a suitable interpreter. We have a team of professional interpreters specialising in various terminologies and fields, coordinated and supported by a dedicated project manager. We recently added Remote Interpretation (RSI) to our services, offering clients significant cost savings and increasing the pool of available interpreters for your projects. RSI is a great option for online, phygital and physical conferences.
Check our FAQ for more info on RSI.
Linguistic Asset Management
One of the key elements of our work is the creation and organisation of effective language tools and their continuous updating. The term “linguistic resources” is a general term for translation memories, glossaries, terminologies, manuals (text style manual, text editing guide, formatting guide), account profiles and quality profiles.
Translation memories save customers money by leveraging content that has been translated in the past, while terminology glossaries save customers time by minimising the quality assurance time and ensuring consistency across content.
As we manage large projects, we create special project glossaries to ensure consistency in the use of terminology. To date, we have created over 250 electronic glossaries for the needs of our customers.
In 2020, we created a spin-out, RIMA Language_Tech_Culture, specialising in the creation and management of electronic lexicographical databases for corporate clients requiring terminology assurance at group level.

For optimal recording quality:
-
Make sure that the speakers are speaking near the recording device and remind them that the conversation is being recorded and will be transcribed so that they adjust the volume of their voices and state their name each time they speak.
-
Ask participants not to speak on top of each other, to avoid transcribing different people speaking simultaneously and to turn off their mobile phones as, even in silent mode, they can cause interference.
-
Use air conditioning instead of opening windows to limit outside noise, and avoid recording in open spaces or spaces with music, voices, or other noises.
-
Make a short test recording to check the sound quality.
-
To improve the recording quality, you can use an external microphone connected to the recording device.
-
Do not place objects such as papers, books, glasses or others near the recording device, as the sound made if they are moved may interfere with the speakers’ voices.
